Looking Through My Window

Sitting on a cozy bed in my room,

Looking out through my window dazed

at how beautiful it is outside,

My window is the way to a new world,

Leaving behind my worries and stress for a while.

 

As the rain drops fell on the window glass,

I just touched my warm hand on it,

Feeling it's coolness and refreshing,

My tired and stressed mind.

 

As I head the birds chirping in the distance,

It gave me soothing peace in my heart,

As my eyes got encountered with the dark clouds,

The dark phases of my life came vividly aching my heart.

 

A little bright light was behind the dark clouds,

I saw the sun rising with its rays piercing through the sky,

Shining like diamonds brightening the darkness with it's light,

Then I realized, life is meant to go through both dark and bright phase of life.

 

Then my attention got dragged to a group of kids,

Who were giggling and playing with fun,

I thought, may be childhood days are the best,

With no stress, no worries, no pains and no heartbreaks.

 

Little things hurt me and I experience a lot now,

Ahh, I have entered the world of adulthood,

Each day, I am getting matured,

Exploring and experiencing for my betterment.

 

"Namgay, what are you doing with your phone? Don't you have exam?" The voice of my mom came behind me,

I was lost in thoughts, holding phone typing something,

A laptop kept on beside me with piles of notes,

To be inserted in my memory called called brain.
